HEALING HEARTS: OVERDOSE DEATH GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., North East UMC, 308 S. Main St., North East. Voices of Hope is partnering with Cecil County parents to offer comfort to those who have lost someone to overdose. This group meets every other week and welcomes all who have experienced the death of a loved one from overdose. SMART RECOVERY, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Janes UMC in Rising Sun. This meeting is for those recovering from the disease of addiction. This is an open support group that meets every Saturday.

YOGA 12-STEP RECOVERY, 6 to 8 p.m., Cecil County Arts Council, 135 E. Main Street, Elkton. Join Amy from Be Yoga Fresh as she combines the philosophies of yoga and the 12-step program to create a model that addresses addiction as a physical, mental and spiritual disease that it is. These sessions are open to anyone dealing with their own addictive behavior or by others. This session consists of an intentional yoga practice followed by a sharing circle. This is not a substitute for an addiction program, these classes are additional practice. Wear comfortable clothing. Class is donation based. Classes will be held once a month on a Saturday at 6 p.m. Dates are Sept. 22, Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 8.

The Recovery Walk and Block Party is a 5K walk and also a community experience; offering family friendly entertainment, food vendors, free giveaways, special guest speakers, information booths, workshops, arts and crafts, and more.
