CECIL COUNTY — Five total baseball players from North East and Rising Sun earned All-Chesapeake Division honors, and 14 combined players from Bohemia Manor, Perryville and Elkton were named All-Susquehanna Division when the squads were revealed following the conference senior all-star game on May 24.
Indians infielder Kyle Miller and his teammate, designated hitter Matt Ross, received first-team upper-division honors. Miller hit .380 with 19 hits, including four doubles, one triple, two home runs, 17 RBIs and 12 runs scored, while Ross batted .419 to go along with 26 hits (nine extra-base hits) and 16 runs scored.
Anthony Mrozowski was named to the second team after a season in which he hit .417 with four RBIs and 13 runs.
Tigers pitcher Kenny Dollenger and outfielder Jackson Sowers were both named first-team All-Chesapeake. Dollenger received the nod after a campaign in which he went 4-2, with a 0.74 ERA and 74 strikeouts over 47 2-3 innings. Sowers finished the year batting .453 with 12 RBIs, 11 runs scored and four extra-base hits.
The Eagles placed six players on the All-Susquehanna Division teams after a campaign in which they won the lower division for just the third time in program history.
Outfielder Jake Harris, catcher Austin Goudeaux and pitcher Andrew Lorman were all selected first team for Bo Manor, while their teammates, Tyler Hayden (infield), Aidan Pressler (outfield) and Michael Davidson (outfield) earned spots on second team.
Harris batted .407 with 11 extra-base hits, 24 RBIs and 19 runs and Goudeaux clubbed .390 with 25 runs scored and eight RBIs, while Lorman pitched to a 6-0 record (three starts) with a 0.49 ERA and 32 strikeouts over 28 1-3 innings.
Hayden hit .364 with one home run, 18 RBIs and 14 runs, Pressler batted .368 with 16 RBIs and 16 runs and Davidson produced a .370 average with one home run, 15 runs and 11 RBIs.
The Panthers had five players earn All-Susquehanna Division honors. Infielders Mike Newsome (.340, 11 extra-base hits, including one homer, nine RBIs and 20 runs) and Austen Bowman (.389, six RBIs) and outfielder Daniel Tserkis (.367, six extra-base hits, 19 RBIs and 28 runs) were all named first team. Pitcher James Able and catcher Sam Richie (.321, six extra-base hits, one home run, 16 RBIs, 11 runs) were named second team.
Elkton had three players named second-team All-Susquehanna Division, as infielders Gavin Tereszuk (.415, six RBIs) and Austin Oliver (.364, six extra-base hits, six RBIs) and outfielder CJ Clark all earned the honor.
