Reigning All-County Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year Jacob Falko made his home debut Tuesday as a member of the Cecil College men’s basketball team.
The freshman point guard, who graduated last spring from Tri-State Christian, finished with 11 points, three rebounds and two assists off the bench as the Seahawks defeated visiting Delaware Technical C.C. 96-55 in non-conference action at the Physical Education Building.
Off the bench, Khalid Gates poured in a game-high 19 points to go along with six rebounds and one steal and Darrell Jenkins added 10 points, four boards and one steal for Cecil (2-1), which received nine points from McKale Williams, eight points each from Hassan Corbin and Carl Bradley (five rebounds) and seven boards, six points, five assists and three steals and three blocks from Cornell Corbin.
The Seahawks, who return to action Saturday against Monroe as part of the Murph Shapiro Tournament at Monroe C.C., led 51-27 at halftime.
