PARKTON, MD. — The Bohemia Manor boys and Rising Sun girls cross country teams finished in the Top 10 of the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association State Championships last week at Hereford High School.

Day Leone led the way for Bohemia Manor, finishing second overall with a time of 17:14.2 minutes. Noah Beck finished in the top 20 for Bohemia Manor, coming in No. 16 (18:58.1 minutes).

In the girls’ Class 2A championship meet, Rising Sun finished in the top 10 led by a pair of Top 40 individual performances. Emily Wishart (22:48.7 minutes) was No. 28 while Savannah Lacey finished in 37th-place with a time of 23:11.6 minutes.

The Rising Sun boys finished 15th in the boys Class 2A final standings led by Eli Weston who was 93rd overall (21:06).

The Elkton girls team finished No. 14 overall led by Mattea Mara who was 45th-place overall with a time of 23:46.9 minutes.
