NORTH EAST — Maryland State Police need help from the public in locating a man that officers describe as “armed and dangerous” in connection with a violent strong arm home invasion that occurred last month.
Without divulging the man’s name, police released two photos of the suspect Friday evening in the hope that he would be recognized and his location given to law enforcement.
On Monday afternoon, more information was released indicating that police are also on the hunt for at least three others who may have been involved in the same attack, which police say was not a random act of violence.
The man is wanted in connection with a felony committed in Cecil County on April 25.
“Police believe the suspect(s) brandished handguns and violently assaulted a pregnant woman inside her apartment before fleeing the scene,” the Monday dispatch read.
Because of the ongoing investigation officers from the North East barrack cannot say much at this time except that the main suspect, for which they have two photos, is considered “armed and dangerous.” The search for these suspects has now been broadened to include the entire state of Maryland and neighboring Delaware and Pennsylvania, police said. Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division is leading the case.
Anyone with information should contact the barrack at 410-996-7814 or 410-996-7800.
