Dear Editor,

On Tuesday, April 26 a meeting of VERY concerned citizens was held at the Principio Fellowship Hall. Their big concern was Stancills application for an asphalt mixing and a rock crushing plant to be located at 499 Mountain Hill Road. This location is within the Critical Area of the Chesapeake Bay on Furnace Bay. It would emit carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, oxides of sulfur, volatile organic of sulfur, volatile organic compounds particulate matter and lead. There are hundreds of houses and four schools within a two mile radius. The plant would reduce home values over 50%.

Where are the people that the voters elected to protect our rights? I challenge them to be at the meeting on May 4 at the Cecil County Administration Building. Look your constituents in the eye and tell them that you don’t care about them or their children.
