Dear Editor,

You can imagine the horror on my grandson’s face when I casually dropped the Friday, November 26 Weekend Whig edition on the dining room table after collecting the mail. The paper opened to the front page. And what to my wondering eyes should appear was the headline, above the fold, leading to a touching eulogy for Mr. Joe Letts. By all accounts, Mr. Letts was a fine man and will be missed by all who knew him. But what had brought my grandson to tears? The last five words of the headline... which I will not repeat here. Certainly someone in the editing department could have used a stocking full of tact in the wording. We all know Mr. Claus is alive and well and will continue his joyful visits to the thousands of children in Cecil County this year, and the next and the next......
