CHRISTMAS COLLECTION BEGINS, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., First Baptist Church, 206 Mechanics Valley Road, North East. Now is the time to prepare for Operation Christmas Child 2019. Through this unique project of Samaritan's Purse, a Franklin Graham Ministry, millions of hurting children worldwide will receive gift-filled shoeboxes. Just fill a standard size shoebox with personal hygiene items, school supplies, small toys and games, etc., for a boy or girl ages 2 to 4 years, 5 to 9 years, or 10 to 14 years. A $9 donation per box is requested to help with shipping costs. Restricted items include: liquids, food, war toys, chocolate, candy, toothpaste and breakables.
