The 43rd Fishing Rodeo and Picnic, sponsored by the Conowingo and Darlington Lions Clubs with the help of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, was another successful day at Susquehanna State Park in Havre de Grace on Saturday, June 8.

The event introduces a new generation to the joys of fishing with contests and prizes. Kids ages 3 to 15 won awards for the most and largest fish caught, as well as a best cast competition.

Six age groups were eligible for the fishing contest, where as three age groups were eligible for the casting contest and each winner in the casting contest age groups got a $10 cash prize.
