Perryville Lions Club celebrates 75 years

(L-R) Lion Leanne McKay, coordinator for the 75th celebration, our famous King Lion Sal Capuccio, and Secretary Lion Michele McKay.

On April 28, 1944, the Perryville Lions Club was chartered and sponsored by Rising Sun Lions Club. To celebrate their 75 years of service to Lions International, the town, and those in need of help, they held a ‘meet and greet’ with delicious food and comradeship with locals. Remember, they are here for the community. They donate to a school scholarship; collect money for the Wilmer Eye Clinic; support a LEO club from the Perryville Middle School; perform eye tests to detect signs of lazy eye on preschool students; support with monetary donations to School for the Blind, local fire company, etc; provide medical equipment for the needy; sponsor a bloodmobile; support local food banks; provide tree seedlings to the fourth grade students, etc. This is just a small list of what the club does. Are you interested in joining and being a help to your community? Call 410-378-2404.
