The annual Crystal Beach Manor Fourth of July Parade was held on Thursday, July 4. About 30 participants were led by a Hacks Point Fire Company engine, complete with flashing lights and roaring sirens, followed by Parade Grand Marshall Arlene Hewlett, 88, a lifelong regular at Crystal Beach.
The entries included walking, non-motorized and motorized categories, with more than three-fourths of the entries being motorized this year. Some groups did a dance or short routine in front of the judging stand, while others handed out candy to spectators. The parade was followed by a picnic lunch at the pavilion.
