On Nov. 12 at 9 a.m., Cherry Hill Methodist Church will hold a Christmas Bazaar, which will feature a silent auction, baked goods sale, crafts, book sale and a Christmas "White Elephant." There will also be a chicken and dumpling luncheon at 11 a.m. Sue Weaver is in charge of the silent auction, which features items from local merchants. Elaine Shelton is in charge of the luncheon. For more information, call Karen Peterson at 410-398-8475.

The week of Nov. 20, I will be collecting shoe boxes filled with small gifts for needy girls and boys around the world for Christmas. This is called "Operation Christmas Child," which is part of the National Samaritans Purse.

The first Saturday of every month at Singerly Fire Hall, I will be holding a bake sale with the proceeds benefiting a different charity or needy family. This endeavor is called "Charity With A Smile." I'm assisted in the project by Judith Cole, Gina Mondt, Debbie Wertz, Joanne Nahodil, Nancy Sommers, and some of my former classmates.

If anyone is interested in helping, call me at 410-398-1796.- Ruth Lashley, Cherry Hill
